What Shutter Style Are You?

As is well known, exterior shutters come in a variety of sizes, styles, shapes and colors. Here at our shop we have been pushing ourselves to add a little variety and color by incorporating some new styles.  We recently listed our latest style of shutter, the Savannah shutter.  The photos you’ll see below as well as on our Etsy pagesavannah shutters show our inspiration for this shutter.  We love the rustic style of this shutter and the pop of blue would give any home the ‘wow factor’ it might need.

Painted shutters can really lift up a home’s look by adding just the right amount of color to the facade, making the home really stand out on the block.  This shade, haint blue, really gives a fresh look, while the distressed style adds a rustic charm to the shutters and home’s exterior.

In addition to this amazing shade of blue, we also stumbled across these charming, green French shutters.  We love the pistachio color as well as the hardware on the shutters of this provencal home.  It’s amazing what a little color can do to enhance the overall appearance of your home.  green french shutters

There are so many colors and styles to choose from when adding shutters to your home.  In addition to our favorite board and batten styles we also love the look of these six paneled shutters.  In this inspiration photo they appear to be painted a deep forest green, which really pops against the wall color of the home.  We think these would also look amazing stained to showcase the wood and multiple panels.

In addition to painted shutters we also love as you know from our shop the look of stained board and batten.  We are excited to be creating custom ordered curved top shutters and can’t wait to post our finished photos.  Below is a look at what these shutters will look like when they are finished. What do you think of the curved top?  Our version will be stained in a dark ebony but we love the look of these curved top shuttersas well, most likely stained in a deep walnut.

What style would best fit your home’s exterior and really boost your curb appeal?  Visit our shop today to see our current styles or send us a message if you’re interested in some of these upcoming styles and colors.
