It’s so exciting to share our newest listing with you! We found this bedside table at our favorite local thrift shop and knew we’d like to give this piece a second chance. Although this piece was a solid, sturdy one, you can see from the picture that it had some bumps and bruises. Yet, overall, we knew that this piece was a quality table and couldn’t wait to get started on its new look.
I began by sanding the top down to the raw wood. It was amazing how much better it looked after just sanding the top! Then after applying a fresh stain by Benjamin Moore, to the top, began to paint. After doing my last few pieces in white, I was eager to experiment with some other colors and decided to try mixing two of my favorites. I love both Napoleonic Blue and Slate by Annie Sloan and knew that together the color would be perfect. I was so excited to see how it turned out. I love navy and think this shade of navy with a hint of gray is perfect for this piece.
In addition to the great new color, the stained top looks so fresh and shines in the sunlight! Usually we try and refresh and reuse all original hardware, but in this case we found some perfect drawer cup pulls. It looks like a totally new table!
