Happy Friday and Happy (almost) Halloween! This week I am highlighting china cabinets. I am putting the finishing touches on one in our shop and wanted to highlight similar pieces that have caught my eye recently. I love the options with these cabinets. Although when first constructed, these pieces were meant to take a prominent place in a formal dining room, they don’t just have to store china and can serve so many other purposes in your home as well! Imagine these pieces in your foyer, bathroom, or living rooms. Many can serve as great book cases, media tables (with tons of storage space for vinyl records), bathroom storage options – just to name a few! Enjoy my five favorites this week and don’t forget to check back soon at our shop to see our own redesigned china hutch!
- Grant Hutch – This beautiful piece by Griffin and Pearl in Atlanta, Georgia, is closest in style and color to the piece I am currently finishing. I love Annie S
loan’s Graphite paint – so far it’s my favorite color in her line – and think this looks stunning against the old white paint. The detail on the glass doors really adds to the overall look of this piece.
2. Duncan Phyfe China Cabinet – I love the shape of this hutch and the color is gorgeous. This piece, although sold, can be found at a newly favorited shop of mine – RevivalMarketHome. I love all of her pieces and think this china cabinet would shine in any room of your home.
3. Black MCM Hutch – This piece is a showstopper for sure! I love that it’s painted black and think this color looks so stunning and at the same time is so versatile. The shape and lines of this cabinet are just so unique. The sliding glass doors and cool retro hardware really make this piece one of a kind for me. This hutch, redesigned my megmadechicago is just one of many amazing pieces in this shop.
4. Amazing Grace Cabinet – I love the antique look of this china cabinet. It’s shape is so unique and elegant, this would be an amazing piece in any room in your home. WildOats refinished this hutch and is located in Virginia.
5. Shabby Chic Bookcase – This piece is perfect. I love the distressed look of this cabinet and know it would be such an elegant, classic piece in a home. This piece has been redesigned by a favorite shop of mine, which I have featured here before, DakotaLaneChicago. They do an amazing job bringing new life to their furniture pieces and this bookcase is no exception to that.
